* Asian wood decoration combines with the latest in gym technology in the The Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. Guests pass from the indoor and outdoor pools to the sauna and steam baths, or opt for a workout in the sunny gym. Those who find running or cycling on the spot a bore can watch their own TVs while they do so. After the exercise, some opt for a lie-down in the relaxation room, a hot bath with essential oils, or a massage in one of 10 treatment rooms.

* Raffles Le Montreux Palace has 235 guestrooms on eight floors. A brief corridor leads you into the room, off which is located a marble bathroom.
* The standard rooms are bathed in a combination of red, yellow, and beige fabrics, dark timber furniture, and thick red carpet. Most rooms come with two twin beds and some with a king bed. Two chairs sit around a low circular table. To one side is a work desk. Internet access is wireless. Bathrooms have makeup mirrors, hairdryers, and heated towel rails. All Lake View rooms open out onto balconies. |
